PETALING JAYA: The unity government’s election machineries are set to launch this Saturday (July 15).
“Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan will jointly organize the Program Jelajah Perpaduan Madani and Election Machinery launch in Kedah on July 15, Penang on July 16, Kelantan on July 23, Negri Sembilan on July 27, and Terengganu on July 28,” announced Barisan’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir in a statement released on Monday (July 10).
Zambry expressed hopes for the support of the people in ensuring the success of these programs and in backing the candidates of the unity government.
He further stated that all party machineries at different levels have been instructed to make necessary preparations for the upcoming state elections.
“Partnerships among the component parties of the unity government will be strengthened and enhanced,” Zambry added.
The polling day for the state assembly elections of Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu has been scheduled for August 12.
The nomination day for all candidates participating in the upcoming elections is set on July 29, with early voting taking place on August 8.
