PETALING JAYA: Muda, a Malaysian political party, has excitedly unveiled its first group of candidates who will be vying for seats in the upcoming Selangor polls. This announcement marks the party’s official entry into the state elections.

Leading the party’s first batch of candidates is Amir Abd Hadi, a founding member and the secretary-general of Muda. Amir will be contesting in the Seri Serdang constituency, bringing his passion and experience to represent the people in that area.

Muda has also introduced Shah Alam Muda parliamentary deputy chief Syaidiyah Izzati Nur Razak Maideen, who will be known to voters as Cheda Razak. Cheda Razak will be vying for the Batu Tiga seat, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table.

Rounding out the first group of candidates, R. Thanusha, a central executive committee member of Muda, will be contesting in the Sentosa constituency. Meanwhile, Melanie Ting, the chief of staff for Muda, is set to represent the party in Bukit Antarabangsa.

Muda has plans to announce two more groups of candidates before the end of next week. With this strategic move, the party aims to solidify its presence and assert itself as a formidable political force in the lead-up to the state elections.

Earlier, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman had announced that the party would be running independently in all six state elections. Syed Saddiq expressed his confidence in Muda’s ability to stand out from other political alliances and attract moderate voters, positioning itself as a “people’s voice of conscience.”

Polling day for the Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu state elections is scheduled for August 12, giving voters an opportunity to make their voices heard and shape the future of their communities.
