KUALA PILAH: Pakatan Harapan has successfully defended the Pilah state seat in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan, following a closely contested election.
After a tight race, Noorzunita Begum Mohd Ibrahim from Pakatan Harapan emerged as the winner with a majority of 1,079 votes against Perikatan Nasional’s candidate, Rafiei Mustapha.
A prominent figure in PKR women’s wing, Noorzunita Begum secured 6,222 votes, while Rafiei, who also serves as the state PAS commissioner, managed to gather 5,143 votes.
The total number of eligible voters in the constituency stands at 17,692.
