Sudan has demanded that three diplomats from Chad leave the country within 72 hours, stating that these individuals are no longer welcome, according to the Sudanese state news agency on Sunday.
This action by Sudan comes after Chad declared four Sudanese diplomats at the Sudanese embassy in N’Djamena as unwelcome the day before, the agency added.
The term “persona non grata” is used when a foreign diplomat is asked by a host state to be recalled to their home country.
Chad stated that their decision was made in response to what they called “grave statements” by Sudanese officials accusing them of interfering in the conflict in Sudan.
