SEPANG: A teenage girl has been arrested for impersonating a medical officer at a hospital.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said a report was lodged on Aug 7 after an unknown girl was found inside an operating theatre.

The teenager had claimed to be a medical officer who wanted to assist with surgery.

“On Aug 8 at around 8.30am, the hospital spotted the same individual attempting to register using a false identity. The police were called and an arrest was made,” he said.

The 14-year-old girl was caught in the lobby of the hospital and the police seized a set of medical scrubs and a lanyard belonging to the hospital.

ACP Wan Kamarul Azran urged the public to avoid speculation and refrain from spreading false information about the case.
