In the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championships, Andrey Rublev was disqualified after shouting at a line judge during his match against Alexander Bublik.
The match was filled with tension as both players expressed their frustrations towards the officials, but it was Rublev’s behavior that led to his disqualification for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Bublik managed to come back from a set down and take the lead at 6-7(4) 7-6(5) 6-5 when Rublev was removed from the match.
This outcome meant that Rublev would not have the chance to avenge his loss in last year’s final against Daniil Medvedev.
In the other semi-final match, the top-seeded Medvedev was set to face fifth-seeded Frenchman Ugo Humbert later.
