PETALING JAYA: Tesla has launched the highly anticipated Model Y SUV in Malaysia, making it the first of the company’s electric vehicles (EVs) to be officially available in the country.
Last week, online orders for three Model Y variants opened, and the launch event took place yesterday at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
The base model, rear-wheel-drive standard range Model Y, starts at RM199,000. It offers a maximum range of 430km, a top speed of 217kph, and goes from 0 to 100kph in 6.9 seconds.
For additional range and faster acceleration, there is the long-range all-wheel-drive Model Y, starting at RM246,000, with a range of 533km and 0 to 100kph in five seconds.
Those seeking more power can choose the all-wheel drive Performance Model Y, starting at RM288,000. It has a top speed of 250kph and accelerates from 0 to 100kph in just 3.7 seconds, although the estimated maximum range is lower at 514km.
Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features can be added at an additional cost of RM16,000 and RM32,000, respectively.
The Tesla showcase at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will continue until Oct 21, allowing interested individuals to have a hands-on experience with the Model Y.
Orders for the Model Y are currently being accepted through Tesla’s online configurator and at the showcase, with delivery expected in early 2024.
Honor 90 and 90 Lite
The Honor 90 and Honor 90 Lite were also released yesterday. The standard model has a 6.7in Amoled display, while the Lite version has an LCD display.
The Honor 90 features a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and a main camera setup with a 200-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Lite version has a 90Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, a 4,500mAh battery, and a main camera with a 100-megapixel sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
The Honor 90 is priced at RM1,799 for the 256GB storage model and RM2,099 for the 512GB storage model, both with 12GB RAM. The 90 Lite is priced at RM1,099 and is only available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The Elder Scrolls Online and Murder By Numbers from the Epic Games Store

The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was originally released on Steam in April 2014 and is now available on the Epic Games Store.
Earlier this year, the game released its seventh expansion, Necrom.
Murder By Numbers is a puzzle game from 2020 that combines elements of Picross and Ace Attorney. It features a soundtrack composed by Masakazu Sugimori, known for his work on Ace Attorney.
Both games will be available for free on the Epic Games Store until July 27.
