Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was recently paroled, has met with a prosecutor in Thailand regarding a royal insult complaint that dates back to a 2015 interview, the attorney general’s office announced on Monday.
The meeting is connected to a lese majeste case filed against Thaksin in 2016, and the attorney general’s office is currently reviewing new evidence. Violating this law can result in a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
