Three individuals sustained serious injuries when the vehicle they were traveling in collided with an express bus in the Ranau district. The incident occurred on Friday (Nov 3) at around 11am. The victims have been identified as Marlin Markos, whose age is yet to be verified, Achar Shandrson (7), and Ashley (8).
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department’s assistant director of operations, Hamsa Isnurdini, stated that they received an emergency call at 11.29am. He explained, “The accident took place in front of SK Nalapak and involved a car and an express bus carrying 43 passengers, including the driver.”
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the three victims from the smaller car had already been transported to Ranau Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, all the passengers and the driver on the bus remained unharmed.
According to Hamsa, the operation concluded at 12.10pm once all potentially dangerous elements had been eliminated.
