Three migrants have died after their boat sank near the island of Symi in the Aegean Sea. The Greek coast guard announced that one woman and seven men have been rescued, while two people are still missing. According to the migrants’ testimonies, there were 13 individuals on board the boat. Greece serves as a major entry point for migrants and refugees escaping poverty and conflict in various regions of the world, including the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. This year alone, approximately 32,800 individuals have arrived in Greece, with around 27,000 of them making the journey by sea.
