Three young individuals who went missing while hiking at Bukit Janda Mandi on Friday (Dec 29) morning, have been found safe, according to Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department Zone 2 chief Azman Alias.
Azman Alias stated that one of the hikers contacted the department at 4.29pm and provided information about their location. Despite facing obstacles such as the weather and the steep hill path, rescue efforts are underway.
The missing individuals have been identified as Muhammad Khairul Izzat Abas, 21; Muhammad Daniel Irfan Ahmad Redzuan, 19, and Muhammad Amin Amiruddin Sabmun, 18. All three are from Kemaman. A total of four engines and 15 personnel members are involved in the operation, with the department evaluating the safest and fastest route to bring down the victims.
Meanwhile, Azman advised the public to avoid risky locations for climbing and recreational activities in order to prevent unwanted incidents.- Bernama
