Perak’s Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) has confirmed that there have been reports of tiger attacks in Kampung Ulu Kuang, Chemor.
The director, Yusoff Shariff, stated that upon investigation of the location, it was found that the residents’ cattle had indeed been attacked by the tiger. Shariff added that it is suspected that this is the same tiger that was detected in the area early last year.
He also mentioned that special traps have been installed, and the area will be periodically patrolled. Shariff advised residents to keep their cattle in the cow shed to prevent tiger attacks.
