GEORGE TOWN: Two incumbent assemblymen from Kedah DAP are preparing to defend their constituencies in the upcoming state polls on Aug 12.
DAP chairman of Kedah, Tan Kok Yew, will be defending Derga, while Teh Swee Leong will be defending Kota Darul Aman.
This announcement was made by DAP Secretary-General, Anthony Loke, during the party’s Penang line-up announcement.
In the previous general election, Tan won with a majority of 5,265 votes. He defeated PAS’ Yahya Saad and Gerakan’s Cheah Soon Hai.
Teh won with a majority of 8,468 votes, defeating candidates from MCA, PAS, and PRM.
