Two former leaders from PAS and Bersatu are set to join Amanah during ceremonies in Sungai Abong, Muar, and Taman Rekreasi Uda Utama, Perling. According to Aminolhuda Hassan, the chairman of Johor Amanah, more than 200 party members will also be joining. The names of the two leaders, however, were not disclosed.
Aminolhuda stated, “The Amanah membership application form handover ceremony will be done by a former Johor state government executive councillor from Bersatu and a former state assemblyman from PAS together with 200 other members.” The ceremony will take place in Sungai Abong, Muar on Saturday, September 2, and in Taman Rekreasi Uda Utama, Perling on Sunday, September 3.
Aminolhuda further explains that the decision made by these leaders to join Amanah indicates their acceptance of the party’s struggle, which embodies the spirit of Rahmah as championed by the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub. He also believes that this demonstrates the public’s satisfaction with the unity government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
During the two ceramah sessions at the respective locations, the membership forms will be handed over to Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, according to the Johor Pakatan Harapan deputy chairman.
