Ampang: Two Myanmar nationals have been apprehended for allegedly committing a burglary in Taman Melur, where they stole a wristwatch and a power bank. The incident occurred at approximately 3.55am on Aug 28, as reported by Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail. Following investigations, the authorities arrested the two suspects, aged 25 and 40, at Kampung Baru Ampang at around 12.30am on Aug 29. Both individuals possessed previous criminal records and tested positive for various drugs, including methamphetamine, as stated in a press release on Aug 29.
The police managed to confiscate several items from the suspects, including a luggage bag, seven wristwatches, a power bank, seven mobile phones, and clothing. As of Sept 4, both men remain in custody after being remanded. The case is being classified under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which pertains to breaking and entering with the intention to steal.
