IPOH: A boat capsized at Teluk Batik, Lumut, resulting in two individuals nearly drowning. The incident took place on Monday (Aug 28) at 11.15am, according to Mohammad Zamri Awang Long, an officer from the Perak Fire and Rescue Department. At the time of the incident, there were a total of nine individuals on board the boat, including two crew members.
“The boat was in a capsized position when we arrived at the scene,” stated Mohammad Zamri Awang Long. “One of the male tourists was rescued by members of the public in the vicinity, while the female tourist is currently receiving medical assistance, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the site.”
The condition of the other seven individuals on board the boat remained unknown at the time of reporting.
