NEW YORK, June 6 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Thursday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.16 percent to 104.102 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.0893 U.S. dollars from 1.0876 U.S. dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.2794 U.S. dollars from 1.2793 U.S. dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 155.67 Japanese yen, lower than 156.10 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar was down to 0.8906 Swiss francs from 0.8932 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.3668 Canadian dollars from 1.3689 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar lost to 10.3936 Swedish kronor from 10.3973 Swedish kronor.
