NEW YORK, July 10 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.08 percent to 105.049 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.0825 U.S. dollars from 1.0813 U.S. dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.2846 U.S. dollars from 1.2788 U.S. dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 161.78 Japanese yen, higher than 161.31 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar added to 0.8997 Swiss francs from 0.8979 Swiss francs, and it fell to 1.3622 Canadian dollars from 1.3630 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar decreased to 10.5496 Swedish kronor from 10.5500 Swedish kronor.
