NEW YORK, June 25 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.13 percent to 105.608 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.0716 U.S. dollars from 1.0736 U.S. dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.2694 U.S. dollars from 1.2691 U.S. dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 159.67 Japanese yen, higher than 159.64 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar rose to 0.8945 Swiss francs from 0.8929 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.3656 Canadian dollars from 1.3652 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar climbed to 10.5021 Swedish kronor from 10.4730 Swedish kronor.
