NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.08 percent to 101.631 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.1024 U.S. dollars from 1.1043 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3082 dollars from 1.3078 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 142.35 Japanese yen, lower than 142.81 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8467 Swiss francs from 0.8482 Swiss francs, and it rose to 1.3605 Canadian dollars from 1.3560 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar advanced to 10.3743 Swedish Kronor from 10.3639 Swedish Kronor.
