U.S. dollar ticks up

NEW YORK, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) – The U.S. dollar experienced gains during the latter part of trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which calculates the strength of the U.S. dollar against six significant currencies, rose by 0.59 percent to reach 104.236 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
