U.S. stocks close lower

On Friday, U.S. stocks closed with a decrease in value. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 20.56 points, a 0.05 percent decrease, ending the day at 37,689.54. Similarly, the S&P 500 fell 13.52 points, or 0.28 percent, to 4,769.83, and the Nasdaq Composite Index decreased by 83.78 points, or 0.56 percent, closing at 15,011.35.
