According to his office, Britain’s Prince William, who is 41 years old and the heir to the throne, will resume his official duties on Wednesday. This will be his first time doing so since his wife, Kate, spent two weeks in the hospital after undergoing abdominal surgery. William had postponed his engagements in order to take care of their three children while Kate was recovering from the surgery, which was for a non-cancerous condition that has not been specified.
His first official engagement back will be attending the London’s Air Ambulance Charity Gala Dinner, as announced by Kensington Palace. Additionally, the BBC reported that he will also carry out an investiture at Windsor Castle earlier in the day. Kate, on the other hand, is making “good progress” after leaving the hospital last week, but she is not expected to return to public work until after Easter.
Last week, King Charles also left the same hospital where Kate had been staying after receiving planned treatment for an enlarged prostate. He was seen smiling and waving after attending church with his wife, Queen Camilla, marking his first public outing since his hospital treatment.
