KUALA LUMPUR: HR Owen has recently added Lotus to its list of luxury and performance car brands. The United Kingdom’s leading luxury automotive dealer group is now the newest retailer for Lotus in the UK, offering models like Evija, Emira, Eletre, and the newly unveiled Emeya.
The chief executive officer of HR Owen, Ken Choo, mentioned that this partnership is a significant milestone for the company and reflects Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan’s vision of aligning with brands that push the boundaries of luxury and performance. He added that Lotus’ dedication to innovation and the introduction of electrifying models like Emeya aligns with the group’s vision, and they are excited to offer these vehicles to their customers.
The new Lotus showroom has been opened in Hatfield, located at HR Owen’s flagship multi-marque facility which also features a dual-storey Ferrari showroom, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Bentley dealerships. According to Lotus chief commercial officer Mike Johnstone, HR Owen’s global reputation and discerning customer base make it an ideal new partner for Lotus in the UK. He also mentioned that the Hatfield site is in an excellent and easily accessible location north of London, which will significantly improve brand visibility in the southeast of England.
With a history of over 90 years in luxury car sales and servicing, HR Owen has established itself as a leader in the industry. The group operates prestigious dealerships like Jack Barclay Bentley in Mayfair and the only Bugatti service partner of excellence in the UK, representing elite brands including Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati.
