On the last day of the central zone Madani Rakyat programme at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex, members of the public took advantage of various attractive offers and bought goods at cheaper prices. Visitors found the programme to be a convenient one-stop center that facilitated their affairs to obtain government services directly.

Zohan Ahmad, a 58-year-old civil servant, was present with his wife Radziah Hasan and used the opportunity to pay six traffic summonses with a 50% discount. He shared that the paying process was easy and fast, with many counters available for settlement. Additionally, there was a cheap sale happening, so his wife also purchased essentials at the same time.

Rahman Sahlan, a 68-year-old smallholder, arrived as early as 9am with his son to buy rice, oil, and eggs for their family in Kampung Sungai Tengi Kanan. He specifically came for the discounted rice at RM26 compared to the regular price of RM34 elsewhere, and they filled their trolley with family essentials. Rahman’s son also took the opportunity to learn about agricultural technology displayed at the event, as they also cultivate their vegetable garden.

Housewife K. Vanitha, 33, from Tanjung Keramat, attended the programme to exchange an old helmet that was no longer safe for use. She appreciated the government’s efforts through the Road Transport Department in providing opportunities for those less able to purchase new helmets, ensuring their safety as road users.

The three-day programme, running from 9am to 10pm, focused on activities related to agriculture, food security, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and the well-being of the people. Various services were provided by federal government agencies and the Selangor government. The closing ceremony was set to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and attended by top leadership from both federal and state governments.
