In Gaza, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad stated that the Israelis have caused unimaginable horrors, resulting in entire cities being destroyed. According to him, 21,000 people have been killed by Israeli bombs, rockets, and ground attacks, leaving no hope for survivors. He also mentioned that mothers were wailing upon recognizing their dead babies and children, while the surviving children appeared bewildered as they could not find their parents.
Dr Mahathir questioned the humanity of the Israelis, asking how people could do such things to their fellow human beings. He lamented the inaction of the world, particularly the United Nations, which was established to end all wars but remained silent.
The former Prime Minister described the situation as worse than wars, labeling it as genocide – a crime against humanity that he claimed was aided by the United States. He also criticized the Israelis for creating eternal enemies and enmity that would persist for generations.
