JOHOR BARU: A male factory worker suffered a broken right arm after getting it stuck inside a noodle processing machine at the Eco Business Park in Tebrau here.

The 23-year-old was working when his right arm, from the wrist to the elbow, was stuck inside the machine at around 3.10pm on Wednesday (Aug 7).

Tebrau fire and rescue station operation commander Azami Yakup said they received a distress call about the incident at 3.12pm.

He added that six firemen with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) were immediately deployed to the scene after receiving the call.

“The victim’s right arm was stuck for about 30 minutes and we had to use a special multitool to get it free from the machine.

“After his arm was freed, firemen then immediately provided initial medical treatment before an ambulance with a medical team arrived at the scene,” he said.

Azami added the victim suffered a broken arm and he was then brought to Sultan Ismail Hospital for further medical treatment before ending the operation at around 3.47pm.
