CAIRO — A car crash on the Cairo-Alexandria highway resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injury to three others, according to Egypt’s official MENA news agency.
The accident occurred when a car from the Delta province of Qalyubia, carrying a family of six who were en route to Alexandria for their summer vacation, was struck from behind by another vehicle.

ADEN, Yemen — The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) issued a distressing warning on Friday regarding a major funding crisis jeopardizing crucial food assistance programs in war-torn Yemen.
Due to a substantial funding shortfall for the next six months, the WFP will be compelled to implement severe cutbacks to all prominent initiatives in Yemen starting at the end of September. These cutbacks will include reductions in food distribution, nutrition, school feeding, and resilience activities, as stated in a WFP announcement on its website.
