PETALING JAYA: Lawyer Fahmi Abd Moin, who represents Zayn Rayyan’s parents, Zaim Ikhwan Zahari, 29, and Ismanira Abdul Manaf, 29, said the information being disseminated was slanderous.
“Yes, the family is considering filing a police report regarding the matter.
“I suggested to them to file the report today,” he said when contacted by Sinar Harian on Friday (June 14).
Earlier, Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain had said they would investigate local watchdog Edisi Siasat’s leak of an alleged investigation officer’s report on Telegram of the murder case.

Comm Mohd Shuhaily said the police would identify and track down those who spread the so-called case facts.
He said he would also seek the assistance of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take down the social media postings.

On Thursday, Zayn Rayyan’s parents pleaded not guilty to a charge of child negligence before judge Dr Syahliza Warnoh.
The offence was allegedly committed around Jalan PJU, Damansara Damai, near here, between noon on Dec 5 and 9.55pm on Dec 6 last year.
