(Reuters) – Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, announced on Thursday that the country has released 100 prisoners from Russian captivity. Zelenskiy disclosed that most of the released prisoners had been involved in the defense of Mariupol, as stated on his Telegram channel.
The return of the prisoners is seen as a step towards improving the strained relations between Ukraine and Russia.
