Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan is committed to driving the economy forward in line with the vision and goals of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. After spending 100 days in the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry, the deputy minister emphasized that his main focus, along with Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick and the ministry’s leadership team, is to enhance the economy for the benefit of the people and the nation.
He views his appointment as a reflection of the people and the nation’s trust, which he believes should be upheld to the best of his ability. Ramanan sees this as a significant responsibility that must be carried out with integrity, sincerity, and honesty to ensure political stability, economic growth, and the country’s prosperity.
Reflecting on his first 100 days, Ramanan highlighted the diverse experiences and lessons learned, which have equipped him with valuable insights to drive the ministry forward in collaboration with all agencies under its purview. He perceives this role as an excellent platform to enhance the entrepreneurial landscape, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” he told Bernama on Sunday (April 7).
To advance this agenda, Ramanan expressed his intention to implement initiatives and programs tailored to the specific needs of MSMEs. This strategic approach aims to ensure that every action taken will yield tangible benefits for the entrepreneurial community, such as offering investment opportunities, facilitating training and development access, and providing business management support,” he explained.
Ramanan also disclosed that he had initiated diplomatic engagements with representatives from various Asian countries, including India, Singapore, and China. “The ministry is also in the process of organizing the Prime Minister’s visit to India later this year,” he revealed.- Bernama
