The president of KLANG Municipal Council (MPK), Noraini Roslan, has acknowledged the increasing challenges faced by the council’s enforcement officers as they carry out their duties in the public eye. According to Noraini, their job scope has also expanded beyond enforcement duties, as they are now involved in disaster response through the Quick Response Team (Skuad Pantas), helping out during flash floods, storms, and other emergencies.
In a ceremony to celebrate the promotion of personnel from the Enforcement Department, Noraini expressed the importance of quick understanding, application of the law, and resolution of matters in the field. She emphasized that every enforcement action should be carried out swiftly, with commitment and integrity. Noraini also suggested that the department could improve accountability by using body cameras to document operations and promptly submitting reports on matters of public interest.
During the ceremony, Noraini and MPK acting secretary Zaireezal Ahmad Zainudin officiated the promotion of 11 enforcement officers, pinning their new ranks. The Enforcement Department currently has a total of 365 staff. The event was also attended by enforcement director Andry Arman Masrom.
