Delegates from all over the world convened at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Penang for the annual QNET Group Convention, which is known for attracting a large international audience. This year’s event, themed “Touching A Billion Hearts,” welcomed over 12,000 delegates from more than 50 countries. The convention was held in two sessions, from September 8 to 12 and September 17 to 21.
The grand opening ceremony commenced with the arrival of delegates and VIPs, including group founders, who were greeted with enthusiastic applause from the crowd. Before the main event, the delegates gathered at the stadium hall and enjoyed themselves by dancing along to the music. The entrance of QI Group executive chairman Datuk Seri Dr Vijay Eswaran, deputy chairman Joseph Japadas Bismark, and other VIPs was met with thunderous applause.
In his speech, Wong Hon Wai, the chairman of the state tourism and creative economy committee, described the event as a magnificent evening. He emphasized that Penang has been the convention’s backdrop for a decade and has brought together visionaries, entrepreneurs, and leaders seeking inspiration, learning, and renewed dedication to leadership and success. Wong also welcomed the delegates to explore Penang’s culinary delights and UNESCO heritage sites.
The convention also featured a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate QNET’s 25th anniversary. During his speech, Vijay expressed his happiness at being in Penang, where he and Bismark started their business 25 years ago. He acknowledged that the company’s success was a result of teamwork and emphasized the importance of building a strong team.
The delegates were entertained with an energetic dance show performed by V Company from India during the opening ceremony. The annual convention serves as a platform to promote entrepreneurship among QNET independent representatives through training programs and workshops.
