KUALA LUMPUR: In a closing ceremony held at Rantau Panjang Beach, Kuala Rompin, Pahang on Saturday (Oct 21), a total of 27 students from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Commando Course Series 30/23 (KKT Series 30/23) were awarded the RMAF Special Forces Blue Beret (Paskau). Air Force Chief, General Tan Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan presented the berets, marking the culmination of three months of training.
The RMAF released a statement confirming that the blue berets, which serve as a symbol of pride for the RMAF Special Forces, were awarded to an officer and 26 other personnel after successfully completing the comprehensive training program.
Preceding the KKT Series 30/23, a pre-course training lasting one month commenced on June 25. It was attended by 53 students at the Jugra Air Base. After the completion of this training, 43 participants were deemed eligible to proceed to the RMAF Combat Training School (SLTT) in Bukit Ibam, Kuala Rompin, from July 24 to Oct 23. The SLTT commanding officer, Lt Col Raymond Radsung, and Chief Coach Major Muhammad Fauzee Kamaruddin supervised the course.
Out of the original 43 trainees, only 27 successfully completed the demanding course, as stated in the released statement. The title of Best KKT Trainee Series 30/23 was bestowed upon Lt Ameerul Danial Noridan, who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic and Defence Studies from Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia.
