In JEMPOL, a 50-year-old rubber tapper was fatally injured when a car collided with his motorcycle along Jalan Besar Pasoh 3. District police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook stated that the 22-year-old driver lost control of the car and crashed into the victim’s motorcycle. The incident occurred around 8.25am on Tuesday (Jan 16) as the driver was traveling towards Air Hitam.
Hoo stated, “The right rear tyre of the car apparently exploded, causing the driver to lose control and enter the opposite lane.” The victim passed away while receiving treatment at Jempol Hospital, while the driver escaped unharmed. The case is currently under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, according to Supt Hoo.
Additionally, he appealed to any witnesses to reach out to investigating officer Insp Mohd Amirul Syafiq Mohd Yusof at 016-234 8669 to provide assistance in the investigation.
