57-year-old nabbed for molesting delivery rider

A 57-year-old man has been taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a male food delivery rider in Sungkai, Tapah on Thursday. The victim, a 34-year-old man, reported to the police that the suspect had touched his private parts and kissed his cheek during the incident, which occurred at 9.30pm. According to Tapah OCPD Supt Mohd Naim Asnawi, the suspect was apprehended at 10.30pm on the same day and later released on police bail at 1am the following day, after the investigation was conducted. This case is being investigated under the Penal Code, which carries a maximum punishment of 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine, whipping, or any combination of these penalties if the accused is found guilty. – Bernama
