The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry’s focus on implementing programmes to increase padi production in the country will continue, according to its minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu. The aim is to add value to the efforts and strengthen the national food security agenda as rice is the staple food in Malaysia.
Mohamad Sabu emphasized the importance of ensuring sufficient rice production in the country, stating that the ministry is dedicated to this goal. This focus will remain unchanged despite a recent cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (Dec 12).
