KUALA LUMPUR: A 32-year-old member of the Air Force died in an accident at Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, near the Police Training Centre (Pulapol).

The victim, who was riding a motorcycle, is thought to have disregarded a red light before colliding with another motorcycle at around 7.25am on Sunday (Dec 3).

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh mentioned that the victim, coming from Pulapol, did not stop at the red light before crashing into another motorcycle that was making a right turn.

“The rider of the other motorcycle, a 39-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries, and she has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment.

“We are investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said when contacted.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the deceased victim, and the investigation is still ongoing.
