The Local Government Development Ministry has announced that as of August, 256 private housing projects, with a Gross Development Value (GDV) of 23.37 billion, have been revived.
Deputy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir (pic) stated that these housing projects were among those that have received the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC), Certificate of Occupancy (CFO), or have changed to progress status.
“According to the success rate in August alone, we rehabilitated 34 housing projects comprising 27 that received CCC and seven that returned to active progress status,” he said during the launch of the Housing Integrated Management System (HIMS) held in Banting.
He also mentioned that the ministry, in collaboration with the Local Councils, Technical Agencies, Private Financial Institutions, and the Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA), will continue its efforts in solving and preventing problematic private housing projects through the Task Force for Problematic Private Housing Projects (TFST).
Talking about HIMS, which has been in operation since last year, Akmal Nasrullah described it as an online one-stop-center that aids the ministry in monitoring data related to housing projects. This system allows for near real-time updates of information and data.
He also added that HIMS serves as a platform for various services such as licensing for private housing developers, advertising permits, sales, project updates, and the e-Sales and Purchase (e-SPA) services.
