KUALA LUMPUR: The Conference of Rulers on Thursday (Oct 26) expressed its gratitude to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for his unwavering commitment to protecting the country since 2019, demonstrating trust, wisdom, and excellence.
Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor, who chaired the 262nd edition of the Conference of Rulers’ gathering, acknowledged that during the reign of Al-Sultan Abdullah, the nation faced numerous challenging issues, particularly related to Covid-19 and political upheaval, resulting in the appointment of four prime ministers.
“However, all of these issues were successfully overcome through the astuteness of Paduka Adinda (Al-Sultan Abdullah) in negotiations with political leaders and with the Rulers,” stated Sultan Ibrahim when presiding over the meeting at Istana Negara on Thursday.
Sultan Ibrahim also highlighted that the success of His Majesty extends beyond resolving the political crisis, as he genuinely cares for the people,” he added.
Sultan Ibrahim noted that the inaugural “Kembara Kenali Borneo” held in September effectively enhanced the bond between the monarchy and the people, fostering loyalty towards the monarch and the nation.
