According to Adam Adli Abdul Halim, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, schools should incorporate academic and intellectual elements to effectively convey messages to students regarding the unfolding issues in Palestine. He believes that it is crucial to instill moral values in students to prevent them from developing inaccurate views or misunderstandings, which could potentially raise concerns among certain parties. Adam Adli Abdul Halim also emphasizes the importance of helping students comprehend that the Palestine issue is a global one, allowing them to review, research, write, and explore media content that accurately represents the real situation. This approach will enable students to better appreciate the concepts of solidarity and comradeship, as well as the need for peace. The responsibility lies with educators to teach children about universal peace and engage them in activities that promote goodwill and values.

Adam Adli Abdul Halim’s comments were made in response to the call made by 12 state assemblymen for the Education Ministry to reconsider the decision to host the Palestine Solidarity Week in public schools and educational institutions. The event is scheduled to commence on Sunday (October 29). Adam, who is also the chief of AMK, regards the government’s initiative in organizing the program as positive. However, he underscores the need for careful implementation, as students currently lack clarity on the issue. He expresses concerns that without proper guidance, some parties may exploit the students’ vulnerability and influence their viewpoints. Nonetheless, Adam Adli Abdul Halim maintains confidence in the Education Ministry’s ability to provide appropriate guidelines.

A joint statement from the 12 assemblymen prior to Adam Adli Abdul Halim’s comments requested a review of the Palestine Solidarity Week to ensure that public schools and educational institutions remain free from elements of revenge and violence. The statement raises concerns about a viral video on social media depicting a school program involving toy weapons. However, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek clarified that the program did not comply with the government’s guidelines and was not part of the Palestine Solidarity Week. The official week-long event is scheduled to take place from tomorrow until November 3.
