Queen of Malaysia, Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, issued a call for people to demonstrate appreciation and respect towards women, emphasizing the importance of treating them with kindness and love. In a post on the official Facebook page of King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, Raja Zarith Sofiah extended her well wishes for all women in Malaysia on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2024.

The post highlighted Her Majesty’s message urging everyone to value and respect women, emphasizing the need to treat them with gentleness and love, acknowledging their significant contributions to the nation’s progress. In alignment with this year’s theme for Malaysia’s International Women’s Day celebration, “Wanita Dijulang, Negara Gemilang” (Women Elevated, Nation Excels), Raja Zarith Sofiah expressed gratitude towards all women who diligently carry out diverse roles as wives, mothers, and professionals in various fields.

Marked annually on March 8, International Women’s Day serves as a platform to acknowledge the achievements of women across multiple sectors while advocating for ongoing efforts towards gender equality and women’s rights. – Bernama
