PETALING JAYA: Lawyer Mathew Thomas Philip is collaborating with a group of lawyers on a class action lawsuit filed by local artists and vendors against the British band The 1975.
“We are dedicated to improving the initial working draft of the class action,” shared Mathew in a Facebook post on Sunday (July 23).
“If you have any additional information that may be relevant to the lawsuit against The 1975, such as the location of their assets, please contact our pro-bono team,” he added.
The 1975’s performance at the Good Vibes Festival 2023 on Friday (July 21) was abruptly halted after lead singer Matty Healy kissed bassist Ross MacDonald, resulting in the event organizers canceling the band’s act.
This indecent act has led to a complete ban on The 1975 from performing in the country, and the organizers have been compelled to issue ticket refunds after the Communications and Digital Ministry decided to cancel the remainder of the festival, which was originally scheduled to end today.
