MELAKA: Melaka-based tourism property developer Yong Tai Berhad (YTB) is expecting approximately 33,000 individuals to attend a special show presented by the Guangxi Acrobatic Troupe of China.
According to a statement released on Wednesday (Oct 11), YTB stated that the show, titled “The Bountiful Harvest of Baiyue,” will be held at Encore Melaka Theatre until Oct 29.
YTB expressed its hope that the ongoing cultural and artistic exchange between Malaysia and China will lead to an increase in tourism to the state.
The performance aims to depict the traditional lifestyle, history, and culture of the “Zhuang” people, who originated from China’s Guangxi province.
The show will feature the highly acclaimed Guangxi Acrobatic Troupe, which boasts over 70 years of experience. The troupe will combine intricate acrobatic maneuvers with awe-inspiring aerial artistry to push the limits of human capabilities.
Through a blend of artistic tools, percussion, folk music, mimicry, and acrobatic dances, the troupe will narrate the story of a paddy harvest.
The performance will include numerous daring stunts that challenge the boundaries of human capabilities, offering the audience a thrilling 80-minute spectacle.
