Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi emphasized the importance of balancing physical development with spiritual development in the country. According to Ahmad Zahid, this balanced approach will create an environment conducive to a thriving economy and will provide recipients with satisfaction and pride. He also spoke about the need for the government to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach to development and focus on more holistic well-being.

During a television program titled “Senada Memperkasa Ekonomi Madani,” Ahmad Zahid highlighted the Madani Economy Framework, which aims to create a harmonious environment for all Malaysians. The framework sets medium-term targets to be achieved within 10 years, including Malaysia’s ranking in the world’s largest economies, global competitiveness, labor income, women’s participation in the workforce, human development, corruption perception, and fiscal sustainability.

Ahmad Zahid also addressed poverty in the country and outlined plans to break the cycle of poverty through various programs. He mentioned the goal of reducing hardcore poverty to a single-digit percentage by the end of the year. Instead of simply providing aid, the government aims to teach skills and empower individuals to improve their own livelihoods.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of nurturing talent from an early age, starting from preschool. He mentioned programs for children aged two to six, as well as initiatives for higher education and vocational training. Ahmad Zahid highlighted the role of agencies such as MARA in supporting entrepreneurship and ensuring food security through large-scale farming.

In conclusion, Ahmad Zahid called for a comprehensive approach to development that encompasses physical, spiritual, and economic well-being. He emphasized the need for collaboration and coordination between various ministries to achieve these goals.
