A new petrol station, tuition programmes, and the development of the ecotourism sector are among the key issues that Barisan Nasional’s Saiful Yazan Sulaiman (pic) will prioritize if elected as Johol assemblyman during the Negri Sembilan state polls.

During his first term as assemblyman, the lack of petrol stations in the area was a major concern raised by the constituents, shared Saiful.

“We only have one petrol station in the town, which is not sufficient. The nearest stations in Tampin or Kuala Pilah are not conveniently accessible,” he explained.

“I am committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible. This is my promise,” he added while unveiling his mini-manifesto on Wednesday (Aug 2).

In addition, Saiful plans to develop and improve public infrastructure in Johol, including the construction of a fire station and the enhancement of public recreational facilities.

He also pledged to expand the existing tuition programmes to more locations, starting with those in primary and secondary schools, in order to prepare students for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examinations.

“We will continue providing one-off financial aid to students from Johol who pursue higher education,” he further informed.

Recognizing Johol’s strategic location in the Kuala Pilah district, between Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, Saiful intends to focus on the development of ecotourism in the area.

“Johol is blessed with natural greenery and clear rivers. We should capitalize on this to attract both domestic and international tourists,” he said.

“I will work with relevant authorities to provide training and funding for those interested in organizing homestay programs. This initiative will create job and business opportunities for the local community,” he emphasized, highlighting the potential benefits of ecotourism.

Furthermore, Saiful plans to develop unattended land in Johol into farming sites, promoting agriculture as a viable career option for the locals.

Apart from these initiatives, he also intends to continue various welfare programs, such as Ziarah Kasih.

Concluding his manifesto, Saiful reassured that his targets were achievable with proper planning and were not mere empty promises.

“This is my vision for the upcoming term if I am re-elected. I am determined to realize these goals,” he affirmed.

Saiful Yazan will be defending his seat in a straight fight against Perikatan Nasional’s Kamarudin Md Tahir.

Polling day in Negri Sembilan, Selangor, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu is scheduled for Aug 12, with early polling on Aug 8.
