KUALA SELANGOR: The six Bersatu MPs, who have recently had their party memberships revoked, are scheduled to hold a special press conference.

Tanjong Karang MP Datuk Dr Zulkafperi Hanafi announced that their position would be clarified at a media gathering on Sunday (June 30) at the Bangsar Shopping Centre.

“We will provide a comprehensive response during the press conference around noon,” he stated during the Unisel 2024 Open Day at Padang Astaka, Tanjong Karang on Saturday (June 29).

He informed that all six MPs and Selat Klang assemblyman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari, who have expressed their support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim were expected to be present.

Previously, Bersatu urged Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul, to promptly declare the vacancies of the six parliamentary seats without delay.

The party, through its vice-president and chief whip Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee, submitted a notice to Johari last Thursday, requesting the declaration of the vacancies.

In addition to Zulkafperi, the MPs involved are Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal (Bukit Gantang), Datuk Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman (Labuan), Zahari Kechik (Jeli), Mohd Azizi (Gua Musang), and Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid (Kuala Kangsar).
