MELAKA: The body discovered on Pantai Puteri beach in Tanjung Kling has been identified. According to Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit, the deceased was a 23-year-old worker from Myanmar who had been working at a factory in Ayer Keroh since 2017. The body was identified by four female co-workers, including one local and three from Myanmar. A DNA test will be conducted to verify the identity,” he announced on Friday.

ACP Christopher Patit further revealed that the case has initially been categorized as sudden death but may be reclassified if evidence of foul play is detected later. In another incident on September 24, the body of an unidentified woman was found washed ashore on the same beach. The body had been buried in the sand and is believed to have been there for several hours before its discovery. Police stated that no visible injuries were observed on the body.
