A woman who was previously reported missing following the Pulau Ketam fire has now been found deceased.
According to Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the assistant director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, the victim’s body was discovered at the location of one of the burnt houses at 10.05pm after the receding of the tide.
The 49-year-old woman had been reported missing by her family members.
The fire, which occurred on Friday (Sept 29), resulted in the destruction of three boats and three houses.
In response, teams from the Port Klang, Kota Raja, and Andalas fire stations were dispatched to the scene, along with the Pulau Ketam Voluntary Fire Brigade (PBS) to aid in extinguishing the fire.
