The body of an unidentified woman was discovered washed up on the beach of Pantai Puteri in Tanjung Kling, Melaka.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit mentioned that no identification documents were found on the deceased, who is estimated to be in her late 20s.
Beachgoers made the discovery on Sunday morning at 8am.
ACP Christopher Patit further stated that the deceased was wearing black clothes and appeared to be a local based on the BCG injection mark on her left arm.
According to ACP Christopher Patit, the body had been buried in the beach sand and it is believed that the victim died a few hours before being found.
After a preliminary inspection, there were no visible signs of injuries on the body.
The body has been transferred to Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Additionally, ACP Christopher Patit made an appeal to the public for any information that can help identify the woman.
